Glyserolipitoisuus refers to the measurement of the amount of triglycerides in the blood. Triglycerides are a type of fat, or lipid, that the body uses for energy. When you eat, your body converts any calories it doesn't need to use right away into triglycerides. These triglycerides are stored in fat cells. Later, hormones release triglycerides for energy between meals. If you regularly eat more calories than you burn, especially from foods high in fat and sugar, your triglyceride levels can become too high.
