Féknyomásszabályozók, often abbreviated as pressure regulators or proportioning valves, are critical components in automotive braking systems. Their primary function is to manage the hydraulic pressure applied to the brakes, particularly at the rear wheels. This regulation is essential for optimizing braking performance and preventing undesirable situations like wheel lock-up.

In a typical hydraulic braking system, the pressure generated by the master cylinder is transmitted to all wheels. However, the weight distribution of a vehicle shifts during braking, with more weight transferring to the front wheels. This means the rear wheels have less traction and are more prone to skidding or locking up under heavy braking. Féknyomásszabályozók are designed to mitigate this by reducing the brake pressure sent to the rear wheels when it exceeds a certain threshold.
