Ekstremism
Ekstremism refers to beliefs, ideologies, or movements that seek to fundamentally alter political, social, or religious order by adopting methods outside the prevailing norms and, in many cases, denying the legitimacy of pluralism, human rights, or democratic processes. While political disagreement is part of normal debate, extremism rejects the legitimacy of competing viewpoints and may justify the use of violence or intimidation to achieve objectives. The term encompasses organized movements as well as individual actors across religious, ethnic, nationalist, or ideological spectrums.
