Driftare
Driftare is a term used in Swedish and some other Nordic languages to describe an agent performing drift in different contexts. In industrial and service contexts, driftare denotes a person responsible for the ongoing operation of a facility, system, or process. The driftare monitors instrumentation, controls equipment, initiates start-up and shutdown procedures, responds to alarms, and coordinates maintenance and safety activities. The role requires knowledge of process control, safety regulations, and often formal qualifications in engineering, automation, or technical trades. Work is typically performed in control rooms, operation centers, or on site, and duties may include data logging and reporting on performance and incidents.
