Brennmaneter
Brennmaneter is a common name used in Norwegian (and related Nordic languages) for several jellyfish species that can deliver painful stings. The Swedish term brännmanet is closely related. These organisms belong to the class Scyphozoa and are marine cnidarians with a bell-shaped body and long, trailing tentacles that contain stinging cells called nematocysts.
Brennmaneter have the typical jellyfish life strategy, capturing prey with their tentacles and drifting with currents.

Stings from brännmaneter can cause a burning sensation, redness, swelling, and pain. Most stings are local and
