Biológicointelectual

Biológicointelectual is a neologism describing an interdisciplinary field that investigates the biological foundations of intellectual processes. It aims to integrate methods from biology, neuroscience, genetics, cognitive science, psychology, and education to understand how biological factors shape cognition, intelligence, and related behaviors. Proponents view it as a framework for studying brain structure and function, neural networks, developmental trajectories, and the molecular and genetic influences on cognitive performance, memory, problem solving, and learning.

The scope includes identifying neural correlates of cognitive abilities, organization of brain networks underlying attention, memory, and reasoning, and how development, aging, and neurochemical systems influence intellectual functioning.
