Apexprädator

ApexPrädator is a term used to describe apex predators, species that occupy the highest trophic level in an ecosystem and have few or no natural predators as adults. As top predators, ApexPrädator species influence prey populations, movement, and community structure. They can stabilize ecosystems by suppressing mesopredators and preventing overgrazing, though the magnitude of top-down control varies by habitat, prey abundance, and human interference.
