Ugångsenheter, often translated as output devices, are hardware components of a computer system that convert digital information into a form that humans can perceive or into another physical form. They are the opposite of input devices, which send data into the computer. Common examples of output devices include monitors, printers, speakers, and projectors.

Monitors display visual information generated by the computer's graphics card. This information can be text, images, or video. The resolution and refresh rate of a monitor determine the clarity and smoothness of the displayed image. Printers, on the other hand, produce hard copies of digital documents or images on paper or other materials. They can be inkjet, laser, or thermal, each offering different printing qualities and speeds.

Speakers and headphones convert audio signals from the computer into sound waves, allowing users to listen to music, watch videos, or communicate. The quality of sound output depends on the audio hardware and the speakers themselves. Projectors are used to display an image from a computer onto a larger surface, such as a screen or a wall, making them suitable for presentations and entertainment.

Other less common output devices include plotters for creating large-format technical drawings, and haptic feedback devices that provide tactile sensations. The function of all output devices is to present the results of the computer's processing in a usable format.
