A tulvasäiliö, often translated as a flood tank or overflow tank, is a type of water management structure designed to temporarily store excess water during periods of high flow or heavy rainfall. Its primary purpose is to mitigate flooding by reducing the peak flow rate downstream.

These structures are typically constructed with an inlet to receive the incoming water and an outlet that is designed to release the water at a controlled rate.
