Tidrapport, commonly anglicized as time report or timesheet, is a record used to document the hours an employee spends on work tasks. It is widely used in Sweden and other Nordic countries for payroll calculation, project accounting, and compliance with labor regulations. Tidrapport can be created on paper, digitally in a standalone system, or as part of an integrated human resources or payroll platform.

A typical tidrapport includes fields such as date, employee identifier, start and end times, total hours, breaks, overtime, and a designation of the project or task. Some systems also capture location, job code, or activity type and may include supervisor approvals and notes. The information is intended to reflect actual work time and is often used to validate compensation, monitor workload, and track costs by client, project, or department.

Procedures usually involve the employee submitting the report for a given period, a supervisor or manager approving it, and payroll or accounting processing the data for payment and cost allocation. Retention policies vary by jurisdiction and organizational policy, but records are typically kept for several years and may be subject to audits.

Legal and privacy considerations are central to tidrapport. In Sweden and many parts of the EU, tidrapport data is governed by labor laws, working-time regulations, and data protection rules (GDPR), which regulate collection, storage, access, and processing of personal information. Accuracy, timely submission, and clear project coding are common governance goals.
