Støtteteam is a Norwegian term describing a group of personnel assembled to provide supplementary support to a primary team in planning, execution, or operations. The støtteteam is deployed to supply additional capacity, expertise, or resources that the core team cannot maintain alone. It operates under the direction of the primary team and its members may be drawn from employees, volunteers, contractors, or external partners depending on the context.

Roles and responsibilities commonly include logistics, technical support, medical or welfare support, communications, and administrative tasks. In sports, a støtteteam might handle equipment, transport, and medical readiness; in events, it can cover security, crowd management, and logistics; in IT or product development, it may provide testing, user support, or facilities management. In emergency or crisis situations, the støtteteam supplements the incident command with specialized capacities.

Coordination relies on predefined roles, standard operating procedures, and regular training to ensure clear lines of authority, communication, and handover between the core team and the supporters. The team is typically overseen by a lead or coordinator, with worksstreams aligned to the project or event plan.
