Samrätt, sometimes written as samrætt in Danish and samrätt in Swedish, is a legal concept describing rights that are held jointly by two or more parties over a single asset or resource. The defining feature is that no single owner has exclusive ownership; instead, each participant enjoys a share in the asset or a right to its use, governed by an agreement or by applicable law.

In property law, samrätt most often refers to co-ownership. The asset is typically held in undivided shares, and owners may hold equal or unequal interests. The rights and duties of each co-owner are usually set out in a contract or statute, including how decisions are made, how costs and taxes are shared, and what happens if one owner wishes to sell or lease the asset. In some legal traditions, forms such as joint tenancy or tenancy in common describe different ways co-owners hold and transfer their interests.

Management and use of jointly held property are generally regulated by consensus or by designated representatives. Decisions about sale, improvement, or use may require agreement among the co-owners, and financial obligations related to maintenance, management, and insurance are typically allocated according to ownership shares or as otherwise agreed.

Dissolution of samrätt can occur through partition, sale, or transfer of ownership interests. If the co-owners cannot reach an agreement, disputes may be resolved through negotiation, mediation, or court action, potentially leading to a forced sale or court-ordered partition. The concept emphasizes shared control and responsibility, as distinct from sole ownership.
