Ruokintaraportit, or feeding reports, are documents used in Finnish animal husbandry and nutrition management to record feeding regimens and feed utilization. The term combines ruokinta (feeding) with raportit (reports) and denotes standardized records that document what animals are fed, in what quantities, and under what conditions. In practice, ruokintaraportit are generated for dairy cattle, pigs, poultry, or other livestock, and may also be used in research settings with laboratory or experimental animals. They are produced by farmers, nutritionists, veterinarians, or researchers and are often part of broader farm management, nutrition planning, or research data systems.

A typical ruokintaraport includes information such as date and time, animal group or individual identifier, diet type and formulation, batch numbers, planned ration, actual intake, and leftovers. It may record feeding method (manual vs automated feeders), feed deliveries, and access to supplements. Nutritional data—energy content, crude protein, fiber, minerals—and feeding context (water availability, environmental conditions) are commonly noted. Production metrics like milk yield, weight gain, feed conversion ratio, or welfare observations can be linked to the feeding records. In research, ruokintaraportit help track experimental diets and outcomes.

Data are collected through manual logs, scales, RFID-enabled feeders, or automated monitoring systems and are consolidated in farm management software, nutrition planning tools, or ERP systems. Reports can be generated daily, weekly, or monthly to support ration adjustments, cost control, welfare monitoring, and regulatory compliance, as well as traceability and auditing.
