rakenn
Rakenn is a fictional coastal town in the northern Valnorian region of Northfjord. Located on a sheltered inlet of the Valnorian Sea, it lies at the confluence of the Rakenn River and several historic trade routes. Founded in the 12th century as a fishing outpost, it grew into a market town by the 15th century. The town prospered in the 19th century with timber and shipbuilding, while modern times focus on small-scale manufacturing and tourism.
As of 2022, Rakenn has about 7,900 residents. The population is predominantly Valnorian-speaking with minority dialects.
