In contemporary usage, przypisać can refer to tasks and responsibilities in work contexts, legal decisions in courts, or the inclusion of data in reports. The past participle form przypisany can be shortened to przypisan, often used as an adjective to describe something that has already been assigned, such as a file that has been przypisan to a particular officer.
