priceled
PriceLED is a term used to describe LED-based price display units used in retail environments to show product prices, promotions, and related information. These displays are typically mounted on shelves, at point-of-sale counters, or on gondolas and are designed to be updated remotely by a pricing engine. Unlike fixed printed price tags, PriceLED devices can present numeric prices, currency symbols, and simple text messages, and some models support scrolling or blinking to highlight deals.
Prices are generated by pricing software or a database that communicates with the LED modules over wired
PriceLED deployments are found in supermarkets, convenience stores, and large retailers. Benefits include rapid price updates
The PriceLED concept emerged as part of the broader move toward electronic price tags and dynamic pricing
