Polyvinylidene fluoride, often abbreviated as PVDF, is a specialized fluoropolymer with a unique set of properties that make it suitable for a variety of demanding applications. It is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic known for its exceptional chemical resistance, high strength, and excellent thermal stability. Its low flammability and good weathering resistance further contribute to its versatility. PVDF can be processed using various conventional thermoplastic techniques such as extrusion, injection molding, and compression molding.
