A paperikoriste is a decorative object made primarily of paper or cardboard that is used to embellish spaces for celebrations or everyday interiors. The term derives from Finnish: paperi meaning "paper" and koriste meaning "decoration."

Paperkoriste comes in many forms and is produced through a variety of techniques. Common materials include tissue paper, construction paper, and lightweight cardboard; finishes may be uncoated, printed, or coated. Shapes are created by folding, cutting (kirigami or paper-cutting), curling, and sometimes forming three-dimensional structures. They can be sold premade or assembled by hand in crafts and workshops. They are often attached with strings, tape, or glue to walls, ceilings, or tables.

Typical examples include paper garlands and streamers, paper lanterns, fans, snowflakes, stars, and other cut-out ornaments.
