Orkiestrii is the Polish term for orchestras, large ensembles of trained musicians that perform orchestral music. A typical orkiestrii is organized around four sections—strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion—with a conductor serving as artistic leader and, in many cases, a concertmaster who leads the violin section and coordinates bowing and tuning.
