Oktadiska are dice consisting of eight faces, typically shaped as a regular octahedron. In English, they are usually referred to as octahedral dice or a d8, and they are among the standard polyhedral dice used in tabletop role-playing games. Each of the eight faces is a triangle, and when rolled, the result is read from the face that comes to rest on the surface.

The numbering on oktadiska generally runs from 1 to 8, with the numbers printed on the faces. Different die designs use varying arrangements of the digits, but all aim to provide a fair, uniform distribution across the eight faces. The physical design also varies in aesthetics, with options including solid colors, translucent plastics, and decorative finishes such as marble, glow-in-the-dark, or metal surfaces.

Materials and sizes vary. Commonoktadiska are made from plastic (including acrylics and resins), but metal, wood, and gemstone variants exist for collectors. Typical diameters range from about 16 mm to 20 mm, though larger or smaller versions are produced for novelty or accessibility purposes. Precision manufacturing and quality control are important to ensure uniform weight distribution and fair probabilities.

Usage and reliability: octahedral dice are a standard tool in many game systems, used for random number results in the range of 1–8. Properly balanced dice on flat surfaces should give approximately equal chances for each face; defective or weighted dice are regarded as unfair or invalid in casual play.
