Gas chromatography–olfactometry (GC-O) may be employed to identify odor-active compounds and link them to perceptual descriptors. Time-intensity techniques capture how odor strength evolves over time, and instrumental tools such as electronic noses can support profiling by pattern recognition, though they do not replace human perception for odor quality.
