Nylony, the Polish term for nylon stockings, refers to hosiery made from nylon fibers. In English usage, nylons describe a broad category of legwear produced from nylon polyamide, often blended with elastane to provide stretch. They are typically sheer or semi-sheer, and are available in a range of deniers from very light (around 10–15 denier) to opaque (70 denier) and in various finishes such as matte, gloss, or fishnet.

Manufacture and construction involve knitting or weaving nylon yarns into a seamless or seam‑top fabric that is later shaped to fit the leg. Common features include reinforced toes and engineered heels, with many styles designed to be worn as stockings or as pantyhose (a combined legwear and underwear garment).
