neurallink
Neurallink is a term used to describe a brain–computer interface concept or brand name that denotes a direct communication link between neural tissue and computer systems. The spelling with two l’s is uncommon in published literature, and in many discussions the term is conflated with Neuralink, a real company pursuing similar goals. In general, a neurallink envisions hardware that interfaces with the brain—implantable or wearable—with software that decodes neural signals to control external devices and, in some designs, delivers stimuli to the nervous system.
Technologies associated with neurallinks span invasive and non-invasive approaches. Invasive methods rely on implanted electrode arrays
Applications broadly cover medical and assistive aims, such as restoring motor function after paralysis, aiding communication
Status and specifics vary by project; neurallink remains a general term rather than a standardized technology,
