motorfék
Motorfék, also known as engine braking, is a technique used by drivers to slow down a vehicle using the engine's resistance rather than the service brakes. This is achieved by downshifting to a lower gear. When a lower gear is selected, the engine's internal friction and the resistance of the pistons moving against the compression of the air-fuel mixture create a braking effect. This effect is more pronounced the lower the gear and the higher the engine RPM.
Motorfék is particularly useful in situations where prolonged use of the service brakes could lead to overheating
The effectiveness of motorfék varies depending on the vehicle's transmission type. Manual transmissions allow for direct
