Typical monitorues are compact, sensor-rich platforms with local processing and communication capabilities. They may be designed as fixed installations on infrastructure, mobile units mounted on robots or aerial platforms, or hybrid configurations that can switch between mobility and stationary sensing. Common sensor payloads include air quality, temperature, humidity, noise, vibration, camera-based imaging, and RF observations.
