The typical workflow includes problem framing and scope; data collection, cleaning, and exploration; selecting a model class and formulating assumptions; estimating parameters or learning from data; validating the model through calibration, diagnostic checks, and out-of-sample testing; interpreting results and communicating uncertainty; and deploying the model for decision support, monitoring performance, and updating as new information arrives.
