LiveTracking is a class of systems that provide real-time monitoring and display of the location and status of assets, people, or vehicles. Data collected typically includes time-stamped location, speed, heading, battery level, and sensor readings when available, with privacy and security measures such as access controls, encryption, and data retention policies.

Accuracy depends on satellite visibility, network availability, and the device’s sensors; GPS performance can degrade indoors or in dense urban areas. Latency and battery life are ongoing considerations. Standards and regulations around data privacy and consent apply in many jurisdictions.
