hiperandrogénicas
Hiperandrogénicas refers to a condition characterized by an excess of androgens, often called male hormones, in the body. While androgens are present in both males and females, an elevated level can lead to a variety of symptoms and health concerns. In women, this can manifest as hirsutism, which is excessive hair growth in a male-like pattern on the face, chest, and back. It can also cause acne, irregular menstrual cycles, alopecia (hair loss) on the scalp, and deepening of the voice. In males, while less common to discuss in terms of "hiperandrogénicas" as it's their natural state, extremely high levels can potentially lead to issues like premature puberty or aggressive behavior.
The underlying causes of hiperandrogénicas are diverse. Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is the most common cause
Diagnosis typically involves a medical history, physical examination, and blood tests to measure hormone levels. Imaging
