Fritidsledare is a Swedish profession for adults who supervise and develop children’s free-time activities outside regular school hours. The role is most common in fritidshem (after-school care) but can also be found in municipal youth centers, sports clubs and associations. Fritidsledare plan, organize and lead activities that may include crafts, sports, drama, music, gaming and digital media, with the aim of providing a safe, inclusive and development-oriented environment for children and youth.
