It is not recognized in real-world medicine, engineering, or cybersecurity; rather, it circulates in fan fiction, role-playing sources, and speculative essays.

In fictional treatments, fingraför devices may be embedded under the skin or worn as a thin prosthetic layer. Interaction with computers could involve near-field communication, haptic signals, or micro-pattern recognition on the skin surface.
