etcpostfix

Etcpostfix is a software package developed by the North American P-8 Poseidon Sustainment Activity (NASPA). It is a Preflighted Integration, TEst, and bed check (PIgT) environment that assists with verification and validation (V&V) testing of Lockheed Martin's post processor, NASTRAN, based applications.

Etcpostfix was initially developed to validate, verify and test the Modified Direct and Runge-Kutta algorithms contained in Lockheed Martin's application of the same name. Its intended purpose is to ensure that the application functions as designed, making the post-processor work correctly and differently from preprocessor outputs.

One of the key features of etcpostfix is its ability to verify and validate the outputs generated by the application against predefined templates. This enables the developer and user to identify discrepancies or bottlenecks early on in the development cycle. The software works by effectively comparing predefined templates with output files, and helps to minimize the effort and time needed for these purposes.

Etcpostfix is widely used in the field of aerospace design and testing, particularly in relation to the development and validation of testing environment simulations. As the name suggests, the software attempts to finalize, or postfix or, its integration, testing automation at a relatively early phase of the computational numerical tools challenge.

The application's tool-based testing capabilities were developed in collaboration with Lockheed Martin to ensure that etcpostfix is deeply PBES integrated and ready to be tested within required PBES upload parameters for CAD implementations. Etcpostfix provides software support for various system types in a cycle critical, alluded implementation, removing operating complexity assumed for unique dat and producing facets compatible with an architectural param.
