Diploidejs is a term used to describe organisms or cells that maintain two complete sets of chromosomes, one inherited from each parent, constituting a diploid genome (commonly denoted 2n). In diploidejs, most genes have two copies, which can be identical (homozygous) or different (heterozygous). This ploidy level is widespread among many eukaryotes and underpins typical patterns of growth and development.
