Formulations typically fall into two broad categories: water-based acrylate or urethane lacquers, and solvent-based nitrocellulose or polyurethane lacquers. Water-based versions offer low odor, fast drying, and easier cleanup, while solvent-based variants tend to yield higher hardness and UV resistance.
