Conservointia is the practice of preserving and maintaining objects and sites of cultural heritage, ranging from paintings, textiles, and manuscripts to archives, monuments, and natural history specimens. In Finnish, the noun konservointi is used, with conservointia in the partitive.

The field aims to slow deterioration, prevent loss of information, and enable access for future generations. Approaches are divided into preventive conservation—environmental controls, proper handling, packaging, and monitoring—and remedial conservation, including stabilization, cleaning, retouching, and restoration.
