BoreHulls are a class of modular hull systems used in marine and subsea platforms. Each module hosts ballast tanks, instrument bays, and optional life-support or payload compartments. History and variants: The BoreHull concept originated from marine modular-design programs in the early 2010s. Variants include BoreHull S (surface/submersible), BoreHull M (mobile hull for mixed-use platforms), and BoreHull X (extended-length configurations). Critics note challenges in joint reliability and material corrosion, while supporters point to reduced lead time and greater mission flexibility.
