Arctisch is a German indie pop duo originating from Cologne that formed in 2014. The group consists of vocalist and lyricist Lisa Müller and multi‑instrumentalist Jonas Breuer, who met while attending the Musikhochschule Köln. From its inception the duo has blended melodic pop structures with atmospheric electronic textures, drawing inspiration from artists such as Feist, Bon Iver, and the ambient works of Brian Eno. Early demos were circulated through SoundCloud, where they garnered a modest following within the Berlin club scene.

The band released its self‑titled debut EP in 2015 on the independent label Klangraum Records. The EP, which included the singles "Morgengrauen" and "Silberlicht," won critical praise for its intricate production and introspective lyricism. In 2017 Arctisch followed up with the full‑length album "Durch den Nebel," recorded in a converted loft studio. The album employed live instrumentation alongside programmed beats, and helped the duo earn a nomination for the German Music Prize (Bizz Award) in the indie‑pop category. Their subsequent releases include the 2019 limited‑edition vinyl "Starlight Haze" and a 2021 remix compilation wherein tracks were reimagined by producers such as Daniel Blume and Sonja Kraus.

Arctisch's music has been featured in a number of German television series and advertising campaigns, notably in a 2020 advertisement for the automotive brand BMW. Critics have highlighted the duo's skill at fusing emotive vocal delivery with lush sonic landscapes. While the group remains active on the European circuit, they take intermittent breaks for side projects; Müller has pursued a solo acoustic project under the alias "Sendung," and Breuer has composed scores for short films. Arctisch continues to collaborate with up‑and‑coming producers, releasing occasional singles on platforms like Spotify and Bandcamp.
