advokato
Advokato is a term used primarily in Esperanto to denote a professional who is licensed to practice law, i.e., a lawyer or attorney. The word derives from Latin advocatus and is related to similar terms in many European languages (for example advokat, avocat, avvocato). In Esperanto, advokato refers to a person who has completed legal studies and obtained the right to provide legal services and represent clients.
