The climate is generally temperate, with frequent sea breezes and relatively mild winters.

History and politics: Archaeological and literary sources in the setting describe early trading networks linking Ylina to neighboring regions. The islands were gradually unified under a central council in the late medieval period, adopting a constitutional framework in the modern era. Today, Ylina operates as a three-branch system with an elected parliament, an appointed judiciary, and a figurehead president or monarch depending on the era of the storyline. The capital city is named Lornar.
