YingYang
YingYang is a Chinese philosophical concept describing two complementary and interdependent forces that shape change and balance in the universe. Yin and yang are not absolute opposites but relational principles that exist in all phenomena. Yin is traditionally associated with qualities such as darkness, receptivity, and stillness, while yang is linked to light, activity, and movement. The relationship between yin and yang is dynamic: they transform into one another, produce cycles of growth, decay, and renewal, and collectively maintain harmony within a system. The taijitu, a circular symbol with black and white halves and a dot of the opposite color in each half, is the common visual representation of this interdependent duality.
Origins and development of the concept extend across ancient Chinese thought. The ideas appear in early texts
Applications and influence span multiple fields. In traditional Chinese medicine, yin and yang describe the balance
