Wahrnehmungsstörung refers to a disturbance in the way sensory information is processed or interpreted by the brain. It is not a disorder in itself but rather a symptom that can arise from various underlying conditions. These disturbances can affect any of the senses, including sight, hearing, touch, taste, smell, and proprioception (the sense of the relative position of one's own parts of the body).
