Wachsmusterform
Wachsmusterform refers to a wax pattern or wax model used as a shaping form in metal casting, predominantly in the lost-wax (investment) casting process. In this method, the desired final geometry is first reproduced in wax. The wax pattern is then connected to a gating system and coated with ceramic slurry to create a rigid mold. After the ceramic mold hardens, the wax is melted out and drained, and molten metal is poured into the resulting cavity. When the metal cools, the ceramic shell is broken away and the metal part is finished.
Wachsmusterformen enable high dimensional accuracy and the replication of complex surfaces, undercuts, and fine details that
