UEFIinställningar are the configuration options exposed by the computer’s firmware interface, commonly called UEFI. They govern how the system hardware initializes during boot, the order in which devices are examined for an operating system, and several security and power-management features that operate before the operating system loads. The exact layout and terminology vary by vendor, but most firmware menus include sections such as Boot, Security, and System Configuration.

Boot options control how the system starts. This includes the boot mode (UEFI or Legacy/CSM), the boot sequence, and features such as Fast Boot and USB/Network boot. Storage and PCIe settings influence how drives are accessed, including SATA operation mode (AHCI or RAID) and NVMe-related options. Virtualization and IOMMU settings enable or restrict hardware-assisted virtualization and I/O memory management for virtual machines.

Security options are a prominent part of UEFIinställningar. Secure Boot restricts loading to trusted software, while keys (Platform Key, Key Exchange Key, and database entries) and password protection guard setup and boot access. Some systems expose TPM/PTT integration and measured boot to verify boot integrity. For many modern operating systems, UEFI with GPT disks is standard, while Legacy mode may be required for older software.

Accessing UEFIinställningar typically requires pressing a key during startup, such as Del or F2, with exact keys varying by manufacturer. Changes should be made with care, as incorrect settings can prevent booting; consult documentation or notes and consider restoring defaults if issues arise.
