Trikots
Trikot is the German term for a sports jersey or shirt worn as part of a team’s uniform. It identifies players and teams and commonly includes the team’s colors, sponsor logos, league insignia, as well as player names and numbers on the back. In cycling, the word Trikot is also used for race jerseys that designate leaders or champions, such as a leader’s or overall classification jersey.
Modern Trikots are typically made from lightweight, moisture-wicking synthetic fabrics to keep players dry and comfortable
Historically, Trikots progressed from heavy wool garments in the 19th century to the synthetic, performance-focused shirts
