ToggleGlied
ToggleGlied (German for "toggle element") is a general term for a component, circuit or function that alternates its output between two defined states when triggered. The concept appears across disciplines—most notably in digital electronics, control engineering and software user interfaces—where a single input event causes the element to switch state rather than producing momentary output.
In digital electronics a ToggleGlied is commonly realized as a T flip-flop or as a JK flip-flop
In control systems and software the term describes modules that maintain a binary condition (on/off, true/false)
Applications span clock division, counters, user controls and simple memory elements. Advantages are simplicity and clear
