Telfuncties, derived from the Dutch words "telefoon" (telephone) and "functies" (functions), refers to the various capabilities and services offered by a telephone system beyond basic voice communication. These functions are designed to enhance productivity, improve customer service, and streamline communication processes within an organization or for individuals.

Common telfuncties include voicemail, which allows callers to leave messages when the recipient is unavailable. Call forwarding enables calls to be redirected to another number, either always, when busy, or when unanswered. Conferencing, or three-way calling, permits multiple parties to participate in a single conversation. Many systems also offer caller ID, displaying the incoming caller's number, and call waiting, notifying the user of an incoming call while they are already on an active call.

More advanced telfuncties can include auto-attendants, which use pre-recorded messages to direct callers to the appropriate extension or department, and automated call distribution (ACD) systems, commonly used in call centers to manage high volumes of incoming calls efficiently. Interactive voice response (IVR) systems allow callers to interact with a computer system through voice or keypad inputs to access information or perform tasks. Integration with other business applications, such as customer relationship management (CRM) software, is also a key telfunctie, enabling features like screen pops that display customer information upon receiving a call.
