Telelogic

Telelogic was a software company specializing in application lifecycle management (ALM) and systems engineering solutions. Founded in 1989, it developed tools and methodologies to help organizations manage the complex process of developing software and hardware systems. Their product suite aimed to improve collaboration, traceability, and quality throughout the entire development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.

The company was known for its flagship products such as Telelogic DOORS (an integrated system for requirements management), Telelogic Tau (a modeling and simulation tool), and Telelogic Synergy (a software configuration management solution). These tools were widely adopted in industries with stringent development processes like aerospace, defense, automotive, and telecommunications. Telelogic emphasized an integrated approach, allowing different stages of development to be linked and managed cohesively.

In 2008, Telelogic was acquired by IBM. Following the acquisition, many of Telelogic's products were integrated into IBM's Jazz platform and other offerings within IBM's Rational Software portfolio. The Telelogic brand name has since been largely phased out, with its technologies continuing to be developed and offered under the IBM umbrella. The acquisition marked a significant consolidation in the ALM and systems engineering software market.
