Syzygium
Syzygium is a large genus of flowering plants in the myrtle family, Myrtaceae. It comprises around 1000 species of evergreen trees and shrubs native to tropical Asia, Australia, and the Pacific. Members typically have opposite or whorled leaves with essential oil glands, white to pink flowers arranged in showy panicles, and edible or ornamental fruits that range from small berries to larger capsules.
