Steppområden
Steppområden, often referred to as steppes, are biogeographical regions characterized by vast, treeless plains, most commonly found in temperate climates. These environments are dominated by grasses, herbaceous plants, and shrubs, with very few trees. Steppes are typically found in continental interiors, far from oceans, which contributes to their extreme temperature fluctuations between seasons. Summers are often hot and dry, while winters can be very cold with significant snowfall.
