Statiegeldflessen
Statiegeldflessen are beverage containers subject to a refundable deposit system in the Netherlands and other Dutch‑speaking regions. The term combines “statiegeld” (deposit) and “flessen” (bottles). The deposit is applied to plastic, aluminium and glass bottles and is intended to reduce litter and encourage recycling.
