It is generally recommended for individuals who have severe allergies, those whose allergies are not well-controlled by medication, or those who wish to avoid long-term medication use. The treatment can take several years to complete but can provide long-lasting relief from allergy symptoms and may even prevent the development of new allergies or asthma in children.
